Dr. Andrew R. Schwartz

I have been an active medical practitioner for over 40 years with training in infectious diseases, internal medicine, and geriatrics.

I have served abroad in the tropics with the United States Army and as the Post Surgeon at the Army Biological Warfare Laboratories. Subsequent to that I have been in the practice of internal medicine, infectious diseases, and geriatrics and academic medicine first at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital in Philadelphia where I was Professor of Medicine and Microbiology until 1980, and subsequently in private practice here in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

My interests obviously lie in the three areas listed above (internal medicine, infectious diseases, and geriatrics) and in this vein I have had the opportunity to come across patients who suffer from diabetes mellitus and its complications in multiple ways.
