This week Kitty and Dr. Fallon will interview Endocrinologist Dr. Kevin Furlong from Jefferson Medical College.
Dr. Kevin Furlong
Dr. Furlong graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. He attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship in endocrinology at Thomas Jefferson University. Currently, he is an assistant professor of medicine at Jefferson Medical College where he teaches medical students, interns, residents and fellows. He has won many teaching awards and is listed as one of the top internal medicine teachers for the Thomas Jefferson University residency program. In addition, he is also director of inpatient endocrinology services at Jefferson hospital.He is principle investigator on many clinical trials related to diabetes and obesity. In addition he has written many articles and lectures extensively on diabetes and obesity.
His hobbies include playing with his family, working out, playing golf , tennis and playing drums.
