Perry J. Weinstock, MD, FACC, FNLA

Perry J. Weinstock, MD, FACC, FNLA is Head of the Division of Cardiovascular Disease, Director of Clinical Cardiology and Deputy Chief of the Department of Medicine at Cooper University Hospital.  Dr. Weinstock was formerly the Director of Clinical Cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Weinstock is an Associate Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ/ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  He graduated with Honors from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.  He then completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.  He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and clinical lipidology. His clinical interest is in the area of preventive cardiology and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and Fellow of the National Lipid Association.  Dr. Weinstock was elected as President-elect of the Board of Directors of the Northeast Lipid Association, a division of the National Lipid Association. He serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical Lipidology and is also a reviewer for the American Journal of Cardiology and the Journal of Critical Care Medicine.  He is Past President of the American Heart Association Affiliate in New Jersey and is presently serving on the Board of Directors of this organization.  Dr. Weinstock has served on the State of New Jersey Obesity Prevention Task Force and, in May of 2010, was elected Vice Chair of the State of New Jersey Task Force on Sudden Death in Athletes. He also is Chairman of Cooper University Hospital’s Cardiology Performance Improvement Committee.

Dr. Weinstock is an award winning clinician recognized regionally and nationally for his abilities.  He has been repeatedly named “Top Doc” in every major publication in the region including Philadelphia Magazine, New Jersey Monthly Magazine, South Jersey Magazine and SJ Magazine.  In addition, he has been recognized among the “Best Doctors” in America.  He has been invited to lecture on the subject of dyslipidemia and coronary disease risk reduction throughout the United States and Canada.

Dr. Howard Lassin

Dr. Howard Lassin is a second-generation dentist. He attended Arcadia University and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry in 1985. After graduation, he joined his father’s dental practice, Lassin Dentistry in Cherry Hill.

Since 2005, Dr. Lassin has been recognized as one of South Jersey’s Top Dentists by both SJ Magazine and South Jersey Magazine. In 2011, New Jersey Magazine recognized him as Top Dentist in New Jersey. And this year he’s been named in Angies List as one of their Super Service Provider.

Dr. Lassin has earned numerous certifications and fellowships, including the World Clinical Laser Institute, the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship and Mastership Awards and completed a mini-residency in the Nobel Biocare Prosthetic System.

In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Lassin devotes his time to outreach efforts of Operation Smile, which provides free surgical treatment to repair facial deformities to impoverished and underserved countries around the world. Dr. Lassin served as a Team Dentist during to two surgical missions to Harbin, and Linyi, China sponsored by Operation Smile.

John F. Service, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. F. John Service, a native of Canada, received his MDCM degree from the Faculty of Medicine, McGill University in 1962.  After a one-year stint as a General Medical Officer in Botwood, Newfoundland, he underwent post-doctoral training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal Canada and at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester,  Minnesota.,   earning a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1972.  He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, American College of Physicians, the American College of Endocrinology, and is an honorary member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons.  He is the first Earl and Annette R. McDonough Professor of Medicine of the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and the 2008 recipient of The Distinguished Physician.  Award of  The Endocrine Society . He is the former Editor-in-Chief of Diabetes Care and of Endocrine Practice, a principal investigator of the DCCT/EDIC and has made major contributions to the field of hypoglycemic disorders.

David Lawrence, MD

Dr. Lawrence is in his tenth year as a non-invasive Cardiologist with Associated Cardiovascular Consultants.  His main offices are in Cherry Hill and Medford, NJ.  He and his group service the following hospital affiliations:  Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Virtua Hospitals, and Underwood Memorial Hospital.

He completed his fellowship in cardiology at Hahnemann-MCP Hospital.  Prior to that, he completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.  His medical school training was performed at Jefferson Medical School and undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jerold M. Share, MD

Before joining the faculty of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Share trained in Endocrinology at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, MA, where he was part of the early effort of what became the Diabetes Prevention Trial. He is a graduate of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. For the past fifteen years, he has been Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Georgetown University Medical Center; and more recently, Chief of Endocrinology at Sibley Memorial Hospital. In 2005 he was the keynote speaker at the 1st annual meeting of the Jordanian Society of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes–held in Amman, Jordan, under the sponsorship of The George Washington University Medical Center.

February 1, 2012 ~ Healthy Feet For The Diabetic with Podiatrist Dr. Harvey Karpo

Dr. Harvey Karpo

Dr. Karpo graduated the University of Pittsburgh in 1971 with a B.S. in Chemistry and the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, now the Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine, in 1975 with the degree of DPM, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Kennedy Hospital in Washington Township in 1976.

Dr. Karpo is Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine and a member of the American Diabetes Association.

He has been an active member of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society for many years and served as President of that organization from 2003-2004 and currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees.

Currently in private practice in Woodbury at 649 North Broad Street, Dr. Karpo specializes in the non-surgical treatment of foot problems and stresses the importance of all aspects of preventative foot care, especially in the diabetic patient.

He has been on staff, and treating patients at Pitman Manor in Pitman, NJ since January, 1978 and is married to Agnes, his boss and office manager.

Wanted to be a stand-up comic but had flat feet!

Dr.  Howard Weinberg is a private practice cardiologist with South Jersey Heart Group, P.C. (SJHG).  South Jersey Heart Group, P.C. includes fifteen cardiologist serving Glouster, Camden and Burlington County.  Dr. Weinberg completed his residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his fellowship in Cardiology at Seton Hall University. He is board certified in cardiology and nuclear cardiology and has been treating patients with cardiovascular disease for fifteen years. Dr. Weinberg has served as a board member for American Heart Association of Glouster County and is a board member of The Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund for the State of New Jersey. Dr. Weinberg has been married for eighteen years and has three boys ages 16, 14 and 11. Dr. Weinberg enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his son’s ice hockey teams.
