Welcome to Kidney Disease and Dialysis! My name is Landileigh and I am currently living with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease, Gastroparesis,  and various other medical problems but none of that has slowed my down. Since being diagnosed, I have made it my mission to speak out and educate people about forms of diabetes other than Type 1 and Type 2.

Can't wait to help answer any questions you have about Kidney Disease and Dialysis!

My name is Tena and I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 12.  almost 7 years ago I was lucky enough to receive a kidney Pancreas Transplant.  before that I was on dialysis.  At that time i had 2 younger children to think about and choose to do dialysis at home. (Peritoneal Dialysis) I found it worked great for me.  i seen a lot of patients when i went to my doctor visits doing hemodialysys and that did not look so good.  I would like to know how the hemodialysis is effects people different.

dialysis is a drain that cen give energy. volumn and waste products are not good for energy level.

cleaning the blood requires a good nephrolgist, good equipement, and a good heart. ypo and hyper glycemia needs to be mastered.

prevention pays but tough players can do very well. hambone
